Following some prayerful conversations, hopefully there are some new insights or fresh inspiration about the future.

The next steps are to animate.

Now is a good time for clergy and parish leaders to look over the Vibrant Self-Reflection tool found below. For in-house use only among the team, it is an opportunity to reflect on what the five characteristics of vibrancy look like in your parish context and which areas could be further enlivened or strengthened.

Once there is a sense of which pathway the community should go down first—whether it is worship, evangelisation, formation, service, or fellowship—there is a wealth of resources and reflections to draw upon in the relevant areas below to support your work.

In addition, there is an ‘audit’ tool structured around the five characteristics of a vibrant parish. This resource is a straightforward way to brainstorm and collate existing initiatives, pathways, and programs, organising them under the headings of each.

Together with the Self-Reflection tool, these resources should help give a sense of which area may need to be animated first.
